What's new Friday?

Hi Eileen, So what's new with me? Well, I bought kitty litter "Johnny Cat" because it's said to be really deadly on the smell. . Don't have cat, probably never will have a  cat! So WHY you ask?

Well, I am the proud owner of a brand spanking, new "Luggable Loo." It's amazing what people think of. My little tent trailer has no bathroom. I'm one who has to get up at night at least one time and trekking through a dark campground to a bathroom is not a favorite activity.

Someone thought to create a seat and lid much like a regular toilet seat but lighter weight that firmly attaches to a 5 gallon bucket. You line the bucket with a couple of 13 gallon garbage bags and throw in some kitty litter to control the smell. Not sure how much. I'll have to experiment. Can be disposed of when convenient. Just cost $10.00 Probably 25c worth of plastic!

So about 2pm today my friend Lynn and are headed out camping in my little trailer until Sunday. It's kind of cool, but we'll have a heater, a light, games, cribbage, and cards. I'm bringing a book, of course plenty of food and even taking my popcorn popper as we'll have electricity. I'm taking my camera and will get some pictures of my new little "RV." It's a 1985 Coleman Redwood tent trailer. It's vintage like me but built really solidly! Just weighs 900 lbs. We put a hitch on Mike's truck and it pulls easily. Only problem for me is back up and it is light enough to disconnect and push into place.

In a couple of years when I get a new vehicle I plan to get one big enough to pull this tent trailer or perhaps a small self contained regular onel. I don't mind tents but this will be much better in spring or fall weather and will beC grand to take the grandkids out in.

Hoping Julia is nowhere near San Bruno, CA.  What a tragedy there this morning.

Happy Friday everyone. Have a great weekend.

Anyone heard anything from Ruth (Moosie)? I miss her. I'll send her a message.

I'm out of here.

What a great idea for a toilet! Don't let any dogs near!

Hi Eileen and all my OFF friends,
Talking to a psychologist was a really good idea.  She has made me see how negative my thoughts are and how down it brings me.  She is teaching me ways to control my thoughts.  She also said that negative thoughts are picked up by those around me and affect how those people interact/react to me (hubby).  Getting a lot off my chest, so to speak.  Not feeling as manic as I was before.
Margo, glad to see your getting on just fine.
Debbie, sorry for you MIL, prayers coming at you.
Eileen, our pets are family so why wouldn't we worry about them.
Janet, focus on the other theme ~ friends and family.  Sounds like a lot of fun.
Karen C., When we were kids we had a five gallon bucket in the woods that we would pee in and then empty, because we didn't want to trek all the way back to the house.  We were too busy playing.  Of course our butts were smaller then and didn't need a seat.  Thanks for the memories.
Not much else going on in my world.  Happy Friday everyone.
Bev

Carla, I'm so sorry. We both seem to be having problems with our furbabies. Scooter isn't eating today.
